AGN The Gold Jewellery Buyer is a single storefront in North York, on the boundary with Scarborough. Most of the people who walk through our door live nearby, and a good share of them were sent by someone who came in before them.
Why we work the way we do
Selling gold makes most people uneasy, and for understandable reasons. The seller rarely knows the karat of what they are holding, cannot read a scale from across a counter, and has no way to check whether the number they were given makes sense. That information gap is where the trade's bad reputation comes from.
Our answer is simply to close the gap. Nothing goes into a back room. Every acid test happens on the counter. Every scale reading is shown. Every karat group is separated before it is weighed, and every deduction is named. If you want to know why a piece tested at 14k rather than 18k, we will show you the streak on the stone.
We also look before we melt. Maker's marks, hallmarks, period construction and significant stones all get checked first, because a collectable piece treated as scrap is a loss that cannot be undone afterwards.
Who we buy from
Our customers are people clearing out an estate, downsizing a jewellery box, settling an unexpected bill, or finally doing something with a drawer of single earrings and snapped chains. Some bring one ring. Some bring a shoebox.
We see a lot of high-karat South Asian and Middle Eastern gold from Scarborough, Markham and Brampton, Italian 14k and 18k from Vaughan and Woodbridge, and decades of estate jewellery from East York and Leaside. Each of those needs a slightly different eye, and none of them should be treated as one undifferentiated pile.
There is no minimum. There is no appointment. And there is no charge for finding out what you have.

We are at 1646 Victoria Park Ave, North York, ON M1R 1P7, just north of Ellesmere Road on Victoria Park Avenue. Free parking is available directly outside, and the 24 Victoria Park bus stops a short walk away, connecting to Victoria Park Station on Line 2.
