What we commit to

Your gold never leaves your sight

No back room, no “let me check with someone”, no items disappearing behind a partition. Testing and weighing take seconds and happen on the counter between us.

Karat groups are always separated

Weighing a mixed pile in one go quietly underpays your highest-karat pieces. We sort first, every time, and show you which group is which.

Resale value is checked before scrap

Signed pieces, hallmarked antiques and items with significant stones can be worth more as jewellery than as metal. We look for that before anything is quoted as melt — because once a piece is gone, it is gone.

Every deduction is named out loud

Stones, clasps and non-gold components are accounted for and explained. There are no testing fees, refining charges or handling costs at our counter.

No offer expires

“Today only” is a sales tactic, not a market reality. Take the number home and come back next week if you want to. We will still be here on Victoria Park.

We follow the rules that protect you

Ontario second-hand dealer regulations require sellers to be identified for each purchase. We ask for photo ID every time. A shop that skips this is telling you something about the rest of its practices.

What we are not

We are not a mail-in service. There is no envelope to seal and no waiting to hear back from a processing centre. Everything happens in the same fifteen minutes, in the same room, with you present.

We are not a live-rate website. We do not publish a per-gram number because a per-gram number tells you nothing until your specific pieces have been tested and weighed. What we publish instead is exactly how the measurement is done, so you can hold us to it.

And we are not in a hurry. A customer who understands why a piece tested at 14k rather than 18k is a customer who comes back and sends family. That is the entire business model of a neighbourhood shop.
