Buying bullion

Buy gold bullion in person, from a shop you can walk back into

Buying gold online means trusting a courier and a photograph. Buying here means holding the coin, watching it verified, and knowing exactly where to bring it back when you want to sell. Our sell price is posted on this page and refreshed hourly.

Indicative only, for recognised 1 oz .9999 gold bars and coins. The figure moves with the market and is confirmed in store before any transaction. How our pricing works.

A flat, published price

Our sell price for recognised 1 oz .9999 gold bullion is posted publicly on this page and refreshed hourly against the live market. It is a flat, published figure — not a sliding scale that depends on how much you seem to know.

Fractional coins and small gram bars carry a higher premium per ounce, because that is what they cost the trade. We will always tell you when buying a single ounce is better value than four quarter-ounce coins.

Stock is second-hand and rotates constantly. Call (416) 551-6400 before you travel so we can confirm what is actually in the case.

What we usually have

Canadian gold maple leaf coins

Gold Maple Leaf coins

The default choice in Canada — .9999 fine, instantly recognised, and the easiest thing to resell anywhere in the GTA.
Gold bars displayed at the AGN shop in North York

RCM and Swiss bars

1 oz and 10 oz Royal Canadian Mint bars, plus PAMP and Valcambi when available. Lower premium per ounce than coins.

Older and 22 karat coins

Krugerrands, Eagles and sovereigns turn up regularly and often cost less per ounce of gold than newer issues.

How buying works here

  1. 1. Call to confirm stock. Everything on the shelf was bought from the public, so availability genuinely changes week to week. A quick call saves a wasted trip.
  2. 2. See it verified. Anything we sell has already been through the same testing we apply to what we buy, and we will repeat any test you want to watch.
  3. 3. Price locked at the desk. The figure is confirmed against the live market at the moment of purchase, in front of you.
  4. 4. Walk out with it. No shipping, no delivery window, no signature required from a neighbour.

Buying honestly: what we tell every first-time buyer

Bullion is not an investment recommendation

We sell metal, not advice. Nobody here will tell you what gold will do next, and you should be wary of anyone who does.

Buy the ounce, not the story

Limited-edition packaging, coloured coins and commemorative issues cost more and resell as plain bullion. Recognised standard formats hold value best.

Understand the round trip

Our published buy and sell prices show you exactly what a round trip costs. Any dealer unwilling to show both numbers is worth a second thought.

Keep the packaging

Sealed assay cards and serial numbers make your eventual sale faster. Store the metal somewhere dry and leave it alone.

Call to check what is in the case

Stock rotates constantly because every piece was bought from the public. A two-minute call confirms what is available today.
