How we verify it
- Weight on a calibrated scale, recorded in front of you
- Acid or XRF testing on a filed spot where the stamp cannot be trusted
- Ultrasound on anything thick enough to conceal a core
- Specific gravity testing when the shape allows it
Good to know
- A stamp saying '999' means nothing on its own — anyone can buy a stamp. Testing is what establishes value.
- Bars containing a tungsten or lead core exist. Our testing is designed to catch them before you are paid.
